Father & Son, Mother & Daughter

That night after we saw Thomas, our Stake had a father and sons campout.  I love that Derrick has a little guy to take with him and do some bonding.  He said in this picture Hayden was so proud because he was Daddy's helper - he carried that stuff from the van all by himself. :)

 It makes my heart very happy to see all the smiles and bonding going on.

While they were doing their guy thing, I took the opportunity to have a special bonding night with Halle.  We went and got pedicures!  I knew Halle would be tickled pink at the idea, and I really wanted one. :)  She sat in between my legs and dipped her feet in the water.  They painted them bright pink!  It was really sweet. You should hear how she pronounces pedicure. :)  She talks about it a lot.  They were really good with her, and they didn't even charge me anything for hers!

After that we went to Noodles and Company for dinner.  She got her favorite food ever - potstickers.  It was so fun to go out with just her.  Usually I'm trying to juggle both kids, or I find myself saying, "Just one minute! Please don't interrupt while I'm talking to Daddy."  She loved having my full attention right on her, and it was fun to hear all the little things going on in her brain.  That girl can talk!  After that I let her pick out a redbox and we went home to watch it. We didn't get halfway through the movie when she got off the couch and said, "Mommy, I'm ready to go to bed now." And she went straight up and went to sleep! In her own bed! I thought for sure since Hayden wasn't there that she would insist in sleeping in my room, but she didn't.  It was so strange!
