I have seen my friends blog about their days, and I loved knowing what they do everyday. Here's mine!
6:50ish - Hayden woke up so Derrick took him downstairs to eat. He does this every morning and lets me sleep. What a nice husband! So yeah, I went back to sleep.
8:30 - I woke up. I know, this is way late compared to most people I think. Average for me. In my defense, back in Utah I woke up sometime between 7:30 and 8:30(whenever the kids got up), and it's taken me forever to really get used to the time change. So when I wake up at 8 here, it's really like waking up at 6, right? :)
I played with Halle on the bed until 9, when Hayden and Derrick came upstairs to get ready for the day. Took a shower, did my hair (well, if you can call a wet pony tail doing your hair) and got something to eat. Went over to feed my neighbor's fish.
9:30 (I think..) - I took Derrick to school because we needed the car today. Hey, I can get places without the GPS now! YAY ME! It's a lot harder than you would think.
9:45 - Got home, played, watched signing time, let Hayden play outside, watered plants, nursed the baby, changed diapers, fed boy, email, read blogs.... just a bunch of random stuff basically! We just took it kind of easy today.
12 - NAP TIME! Put Hayden down for a nap. He sleeps on the couch. I guess this isn't normal, but hey, he sleeps at least! Halle also went to sleep at this time, and fell asleep too even though I was thinking I probably should get up and do some stuff...
1:30 - Woke up, got us something to eat, finished getting me and the kids ready, and rushed to the library for story time
2:00 - Story time. It was all about cars today. Hayden knows the wheels on the bus, but he wouldn't do the actions this time. It's so weird because he talks about kids all the time, but he gets so shy when they are actually there. Maybe he will warm up if we keep going. I wonder if this is how he is in primary. He just scooted as close to me as he could and wouldn't sing or even smile. But at home he sings all the primary songs that he learns at nursery... He also made a car out of paper with a magnet on the back. Then we read some more books in the library
2:45 - Got in the car and texted Derrick to tell him we were coming to pick him up. Hurried and made a grocery list in the car because I decided to sleep this afternoon instead of make one... bad idea I guess. No, I take it back. It was really nice to sleep. :)
3:00 - picked up Derrick and drove to a grocery store. We went to a new one to pay a utility bill there, but it was so expensive! I just got a few things instead of my whole list. Cost: $14.
3:30 - Went to our usual store to get meat and eggs. Cost: $7. Total for the week: $21. Not bad! We are trying so hard to get our grocery bill down right now... As you can imagine buying a house and fixing it up, while paying a really high rent has been rough. Don't get me wrong, we are totally fine. It's just going to be close this month... so food storage it is. (what a blessing.)
4ish - Get home and unload the groceries. Straighten up the house. Derrick unloaded all the dishes and then realized that something was in the way of the door thing so the soap was never able to get out... Sad day. He had to get all the dishes that he emptied loaded back in to wash again.
4:15 - start making dinner. I made Chicken broccoli casserole, only left out the mushrooms and water chestnuts, and added cheese. Derrick called around and got insurance quotes. Hayden sat at the counter and talked to me. Halle played in her exersaucer.
5:00 - Hayden and I ate, but Derrick had an insurance guy call him right then so we started without him.
5:30 - Cleaned up dinner (well, Derrick did mostly.. thanks hon!) and watched Hayden jump on the couch.
6:00 - brought our neighbor's fish to our house to take care of it instead of going over there twice a day for the next three weeks.
6:10 - made cookies while Hayden and Derrick played downstairs. Then I joined them and we played.Hayden's getting good at t-ball, and Halle's just getting huge! She's getting so big and alert. She can almost sit up now. She loves to watch Hayden play.
I don't remember the times for the rest, so here it is, just in order.
Ate cookies. :)
Checked blogs and email and facebook while Derrick read.
Joined my boys in the living room for some signing time and ball throwing.
Kiddie bath time.
PJ's and bedtime stories in Hayden's room. Downstairs and nurse Halle while I start blogging. She's asleep now and Derrick is watching TV. I'll join him soon and maybe we will start picking out some paint colors! Then to bed by 10:30, which has been the goal lately.
I would say this is a pretty average day, although maybe a little on the boring side. It's definitely a change from the busy school year days.

SOOOOO not boring! Fun to read about. :) I love knowing what is going on daily in someone's life.
Sounds like a good day to me...especially the part about playing with the kids! Seems like Halle grows bigger by the day. Give them both a kiss from Grandma!
I love days when you get to sleep with the little ones. Cherish those times while you can... I know they aren't going to last forever and I sure do my best to enjoy them :) I can't believe you can actually get both kids to sleep at the same time, that's definitely impressive.
Hmmm...a nap. SOunds...nice. Sigh.
I enjoyed reading that.
Owen - yes crazy Owen - even gets shy in situations I never thought he would - still.
