This morning was kind of dumb. There was a mom and tots enrichment to go to. We were going to a water fountain at a part to play Hayden misses having kids to play with SO BAD, so I wanted to take him. We got all sunblocked up and in the car. We only have one car now, so we had to drop Derrick off at school/work (which meant he had to go in really late) and then go to the fountain which was nearby. Well, we drove around for a while trying to find parking. Where I was told there would be parking was full, so we didn't know where to go.... THEN it started raining and Hayden was yelling and throwing a tantrum in the back seat. I just didn't think it would be fun for him to play in the water when it was cold, and I was already tired of his whining, so I just said nevermind! We dropped off Derrick and went home. I felt really bad that I made him go to work late and we weren't even going to the activity. That's when the fun with the tantrums really started... SCREAMING for Derrick at the top of his lungs in the car. I was so mad, I'm not gonna lie. His tantrums BUG me. Any advide on how to get them to stop? I try ignoring him sometimes but I'm afraid his head is going to blow up and I just don't want to put up with it. There is no reason for him to act that way and it just makes me mad. When he gets really bad and time out doesn't work, I just put him in his room for a few minutes. When I get him out he will usually stop and be ok for a while, but this happens EVERY DAY! And I hear this isn't as bad as three years old.. sigh.
So anyway, he was much better after nap time. Derrick took the bus home to our bus stop, but it's like half a mile away from our house. We went to pick him up and go to the library, since it's right there. It was so fun! This is the best library I have lived by. It seems pretty new and they have so many fun books. I can actually look up a book on the card catalog and they have it! Logan never had the books I wanted, so this is a nice surprise. They also have a bunch of story times that I plan on taking Hayden to. The little kids area had some really fun toys and this spinning thingy on the wall that Hayden loved. He would be entertained forever there. Here is a video of Derrick reading him a book. You can see how hyper he is. He's so cute. Notice the arm folding... That's something he learned in nursery, which is a whole new post. And you can see how Derrick feels about spiders. :) He taught Hayden all about how gross they are. Sorry about the spit up on Halle... It's gross looking but I didn't know it was there till I uploaded the video.

I SO know how you feel about the tantrums! We are going through the same thing right now! AAAAAAAh it drives me crazy. I get so frustrated but then I always end up feeling guilty for being frustrated!
I'm sorry Hayden gets cranky (to put it mild ^_^) but I'm glad you like the library...nothing against Utah really but Utah has the worst libraries I've ever been to. I'm always really surprised when they do have something I want. I miss you!
I'm sorry about Hayden's tantrums. Hopefully he'll grow out of it sooner rather than later. I'm glad the library there has more to offer! There's nothing I love more than a well-stocked library! :) That video of Hayden is SO adorable! And I never saw any spit-up on Halle, but I'll take your word for it.
Sorry I dont have any advice for the tantrums either :(
That library is cool! The toy-thing on the wall looks way fun! Your video is cute, its funny how Hayden keeps coming back and forth, and his noticing the 'kids' :)
That library looks awesome!!! I'm sorry about the tantrums. I don't have any advice since I haven't been to that point yet. Maybe he's having a hard time adjusting again to having Derrick gone. And, I didn't even notice the spit up. I can't believe how big they both are getting. And I need to be as good as you about updating my blog. You're awesome!!
