Garden

I actually did have stuff grow! YAY. After they dug that big hole and ruined all my carrots, they never covered it back up so I could replant. Finally my neighbor just covered it up. The big sprinkler in the middle works now, but it just goes over all the plants onto the grass. Oh well. I guess if I had another zucchini plant in there it would have really taken over. So here it is. Sorry the pictures are weird. I took it when it was starting to get dark so the flash is on.

I had no idea what it would be like. I planted too much and it's all crowded. I didn't know that they would be so big! I guess it's good that I had a learning experience this year. It was fun to watch it grow, but I admit that I have been neglecting it since the sprinkler gives it a little water. There were a lot of weeds when I went out tonight. There are a few things actually growing though.

Some peas! One was actually big enough to pick, so Derrick and I ate some peas tonight! That was fun.
If you look close you can see some zucchini!
And green beans!
However, my tomato plant is just not doing well. It grew all big and leafy, but I only had one blossom so no tomatoes.
I have no idea what to do. You experienced gardeners can give me any advice you have (on anything, not just the tomatoes).

Oh man...you won't want any advice of mine because it would pretty much kill whatever you were trying to grow! I'm actually way impressed with what you have grown so far! It's way more that I have grown before! :)

Your garden looks really good! I am sort of jealous, I wish we could plant a garden. As far as advice goes I'm not the one to ask so instead tell me what you learn after this is all over so that I can learn to be experienced someday.

...jealous too about your garden.
I REALLY wanted one , didnt have one, so bought pots and planted some tomatoes. They grew about two inches tall... I was all proud...then suddenly they were brown and shriveled!!
lol...I seriously almost cried!

Yeah, you're garden looks great!! we noticed some peas too, I can't believe it, that is so cool. We've been trying to keep the weeds under control but it's almost impossible. Did you guys pull up some plants the night you were out there? There was a big pile of BLAH on the sidewalk when I got home from work early this morning. Anywho, it's awesome!

ps-we might be moving in October...

I have the exact same problem with my tomato plant! My plant is growing ridiculously tall, but no tomatoes yet. Same thing with my green pepper plant. Although, I have plenty of cucumbers growing. Maybe next year I'll just grow things in the cucumber family - squash, zucchini...
