November

Remember the days when I used to blog a few times a week?   I don't think that's going to happen anymore.  Here's November. :)

Nov. 5 was the first snowfall that stuck.  It didn't last long, but it was enough to play in for a bit!

These kids were excited!

I tried to be a fun mom one day and make them a fort with a folding table and a blanket.  It wasn't cool enough.  But their very own "house" was.  I love it when they think of something new to play and it entertains them for days.  I didn't get a picture, but later, Derrick made them a fort with a ladder and the folding table.  And they broke my folding table. GRR.

Halle had a really rough night.  She kept waking up and whining.  She must have just been uncomfortable because she decided to sleep on the floor, where she finally stopped waking up.  I think it was Hayden who put her babies and bears all around her to sleep next to her.

I finally downloaded our pictures from when we went to the zoo.  Fall is the best time to go!  It's nice and cool and the animals are more active. It's less crowded too.  And you KNOW the train was the first stop!

Right before the bird show.

Can you spot the Owen?

Hayden is actually a pretty good photographer!

I have to tell you, I loathe making lunch.  My kids just want junk, and I don't like cooking anything.  Easy solution! I'd heard of people doing this before, but I didn't think it would be such a hit.  On the way home from preschool I told them I had a special surprise for them for lunch.  Maybe that was why it was so successful.  They ate their lunch in muffin pans.  It included crackers, ham, pretzels, goldfish, boiled egg, cheese, carrot, peanut butter, and chocolate chips.

Same shirt, but different day. :)  Hayden and Halle have a new cousin!  Kristi had a homebirth, and she did awesome!  Stan (Derrick's bro) was quite the doula I hear. :)  Little Samantha is such a sweetie, and her parents are completely in love, of course.

Hayden didn't want his turn to be over.  He tells me we are having 5 more babies.

It's hard to believe they do this much growing in 3 months!

We have started taking our kids on individual dates with mom and dad.  They need some attention.  I took Hayden to get some ice cream, as you can see. :)

More to come soon!

I love the pictures! The muffin tin lunch is a great idea. Sometimes the little things are so cool.
