Can you believe how sweet my husband is? I just happened upon my last blog post the evening of my birthday and it was the perfect end to a perfect day. I cried.
Derrick knows how to treat a girl on her birthday. In the morning I had to get up early for my appointment... for a massage! This was actually my mother's day present (that I practically demanded during my pregnancy misery haha) but I never got the guts to make the appointment. This time I didn't have a choice because Derrick made the appointment for me. I had nothing to worry about! It was awesome and completely relaxing! After that, my birthday present was to go shopping. That was just what I needed. I even left Owen home. I had some alone time (which I never appreciated before I had kids) and got to find some things to wear. You know how it is when you just have a baby, and nothing fits? Well now I have some things that fit. :) After all of that I met Derrick and the kids for lunch. Later that night we went to the Antelope Island Stampede.
I looked in the back seat and saw three car seats. It freaks me out every time. How do I have three? I'm not that old, am I ?! Apparently I am.
They had a concert, food booths, and hot air balloons.
They had a kid area with those inflatable bouncy house type toys. Hayden loves them! We had to buy tickets and we were worried that he would get too shy and it wouldn't be worth the money. He proved us wrong! He did it pretty much all night.
Halle went down the slide once and was DONE.
Did you catch that face?
So she sat in the stroller asking for drinks and saying, "Mommy!" every five seconds.
Ok, this kid... AH! More on him later. There will be lots of hearts.
The sunset...pretty! This is the first time I've ever seen the Great Salt Lake up close, which is pathetic since I've lived here my whole life.
And then we got a treat. This was the funniest part of the night.
She got cold so her daddy gave her his shirt.
It was such a wonderful day. The alone time was nice, but I'm really glad that I got to spend time with my family. They are what makes me really happy.
