I am just going to go ahead and update all the way! That way the next thing I can blog is this little baby's arrival. Soon please.
So I think this was 4th of July weekend. Wouldn't you know, we planned our activities so we missed all the celebrations. We went to Gunnison after they had already celebrated, so we missed their celebrations and ours. We had a lot of fun though. They were just finishing putting up hay, so of course Hayden had to go help with the tractor work and get in the backhoe with grandpa. The rest of us rode the 4 wheelers out to watch. Can't believe I'm posting this picture of me at 8 months pregnant sitting on a 4 wheeler, but here you go.
Hayden could have done this all day.
They loaded up the big trucks and Uncle Alex took them... wherever they took them. I'm still not a pro at the whole farming thing. :)
And I guess it was nap time.
Maybe you heard about how Mater was in Gunnison? It was really cute.
And I took up a new hobby that weekend and started knitting. And here is my first finished project! A scarf. I think she likes it. (still need to take care of the ends I know.)
The stairs are a favorite play spot for the kids. It cracks me up when she does this.
Anyone who has been so pregnant with young kids might understand how I'm feeling like the worst mom ever right now. They don't get much attention, unless they are being reprimanded. It's really exhausting for all of us. So one day I tried to redeem myself and made them a little kitchen. Nothing too fancy, but it's still around and working for entertainment.
We have a little garden that is growing nicely. We got some peas the other day and had Hayden and Halle shell them. They were pretty good at it
Here is what we got. Yeah, that's one of those tiny little Ikea cups. Not much. I think one year when we have a lot of space we'll just plant a ton of peas, because they are a huge hit at our house.
We are lucky that our landlord takes care of our yard. It's wonderful to have a nice yard! Hayden and Halle decided to go out and watch them mow one day. The noise was very soothing for Halle I guess.
This one goes back to the garden... I planted a black beauty zucchini, but they must have mixed up the seeds! I just left it there thinking that maybe it wasn't ready and it would turn dark green. Soon I realized that the thing was getting huge so I googled it and found out that there is such a thing as white zucchini! So strange. It tastes just like the regular stuff though.
And here I am again. This is just after I 37 weeks... so full term! I would love for him to come soon. I was feeling very very patient until yesterday. I was up from 3 am with pressure waves I couldn't sleep through. After timing them for a few hours I realized this might be the real thing. I got in the shower to see if they would go away, but they were still going at about 5 minutes apart. At this point (about 5:30 am) we started getting everything prepped and called the midwife. You can guess what happened, considering that he's still in there. They completely fizzled out! So disappointing. And then I was just exhausted from being up all night. I never had any bit of false labor with the other two, so this was something new. I'm perfectly content to let him come when he comes, because I know that's what's best for him and me. But how unfair for him to tease me! And he really needs to come soon because now none of my shirts will cover my belly! I have nothing that fits now. Ah, it's almost over.
And now, no one is allowed to lecture me on how I need to be patient, or that he's almost here and I should just enjoy the end. I know! And I'm doing my dang best. Also, no asking how I feel. Just putting it out there.

haha I love your closing statement. I think anyone who has been in your position would know not to ask those things. :) I'm excited to hear what this little guys name ends up being. Good luck my friend.
You look wonderful! I had practice waves with Miles after never having them with the first 3.
You truly look great! I think it's mean when they tease - Carson teased me for weeks, which was especially hard because I so wanted him to come early.
Good luck! It's fun to see that belly full-term. Hope you guys are doing well! (I saw your 52nd ward reunion on Facebook-- how fun. I wish we were close to Logan to be able to do those kinds of things!)
I personally think that the picture of you on the tractor is REALLY fun. :)
One of my friends from HS lives down in Ephraim, so they went and saw Mater so I've seen that same picture. :) Fun.
As for false labor - I think it must be more common with later pregnancies. Although I had TONS of contractions with my first two kids they were just Braxton Hicks with the occasional real one that hurt. I never had true false labor. With D I had it for about 3 weeks before she was born. It was very frustrating. I felt like I was going into labor almost every day and it was PAINFUL. Not little contractions, but HUGE full on contractions for an hour or more. So frustrating. So I'm not going to tell you to relax and enjoy your time, because I know how awful false labor is.
