Some big things have been happening around here lately. Derrick defended his thesis last Friday! Which means he is DONE. (Well, except for the pesky submitting paperwork and all that which will be done Monday).
Also really big? Derrick accepted a job offer today. I can't even tell you how excited we are to move to UTAH! His job is in Clearfield, so we'll be living somewhere in that area. We move in TWO WEEKS. His start date is May 2. Anyone care to freak out a bit with me? The original plan was to stay until after graduation, but after looking closely at the situation, we need to move now and just fly back for commencement ceremonies. I'm so happy, but there are a whirlwind of emotions that come with leaving so soon. We are also leaving a place I have grown to love, and people who I also REALLY love! This has been such a wonderful experience to live here, and I will miss it. But YAY for going home!

That is great! I am so happy for you, with three little ones it will be so much better being close to family. I grew up in Clearfield, it has changed so much since, but not a bad place to raise a family. Congrats!!!!!
You know all I can say is YAY! I've missed my Erin!!! And even more YAY for having a real-life- we-are-growing-up kind of job! I don't know how much help I can be in the search for a place to live... it is a tough business but I sure can help on the playing side of things :) Karl could probably help you with the moving on this end too if you want. We only live about 15 to 20 minutes from clearfield so we wouldn't be far.

YAY! We are so proud of you Derrick! My big boy is so excited to play with your big boy...Stephen hasn't been able to play with him for years! :) You have a great guy on your hands Erin...Steve can't say enough good about him. Maybe if you're ever around or if you are ever free we can meet up or do dinner or something! Congrats!
