So far... in December

I am so lame... I haven't been taking as many pictures.  I didn't get a single one of Derrick's birthday yesterday.  I guess I'm a little overwhelmed with trying to get ready for our big trip this month. Oh well, here is what I do have!

Halle was sad one day, so it was big brother to the rescue.  He wanted to hold and cuddle her.

The day after our snow storm, Derrick took Hayden out while Halle was napping.  This boy was made for the snow.  We have to bribe him with hot chocolate to get him to come in.
He cleaned off the car for us.
And shoveled the snow... off the grass.
Derrick said that he took him running on the sled and that he would turn really fast to make Hayden fall off.  He would roll a few times in the snow, land face down in it, and lift up his cold wet head just laughing as hard as he could.  Even better if Derrick threw a snowball right in his face.

all their tracks in the snow.
This morning I heard Hayden say to Halle,  "No, Halle, Mommy doesn't want us to cut it by ourselves."  I ran to his room and saw him with our loaf of bread... about to cut it!  I'm glad it was only a butter knife, but sheesh!
And that's it so far! I'm just running around trying to get sewing projects finished, Christmas wrapped, house cleaned, our stuff packed, and kids prepared for a two day car drive.  I just hope that it will allow me to really appreciate the spirit of this season and being with family in peace, without having to worry about it all later!  We can't wait to see everyone!
