At the end of May, we drove to Tennesse to see my friend, Motsy. Motsy and I have been friends since we were pregnant with our little boys. Asher and Hayden are about a week apart. They were both very fussy little babies, so we were each other's support. Anyway, we were also pregnant with our little girls at the same time. Halle and Lorelai are about 2 months apart.
I know, I know. I look like a vampire next to her. She was so tan! Just be grateful you can't see my legs.
We had an amazing time. This was actually the first time we met in person. It's an interesting story how we met... you should ask me sometime. :) Luckily our husbands got along fabulously and our kids got along great too. Well, at least Hayden really got along very well with Asher's train set, and there were no fights.
I didn't feel like I was meeting a stranger at all. It all felt really normal because of how long we have been friends and talking to each other. They are so much like us, it's crazy. It's wonderful to have good friends. One major thing that drew Motsy and I to each to each other was our love for the Savior. We may not be the same faith, but we both have strong faith. They are such good people.
The only pictures I got were of us on the last day at the park. We did so many fun things while we were there including a wildlife park, swimming, farmer's market, listening to her adorable southern accent, trying okra, many a game night where the girls schooled the guys at Taboo, a boat ride, and my very first experience attending a different church!
It better not be another three years until we see them again! Thanks Jon and Motsy for having us! We had a fabulous time!
