Can you believe it's already been a year? We all arrived in Indiana together a year ago today. My mom says it feels like it's been a lot longer than that. I feel like it flew by. Don't worry, we will be home soon enough. (well that's the plan anyway...and we all know how that goes, so we will see.) Look how much our kids have grown since then!
It's really been a great year. I feel a little silly when I look back and remember what a brat I was about moving. I was terrified. But I love it out here and it's been so good for our family. What a lesson about trusting in the Lord, because He really had something great in store for us. We are so blessed. I have really grown a lot. Here are the highlights of this last year in Indiana:
- Derrick started his master's degree at his top choice school.
- We bought our first house.
- Halle went from a tiny baby to a big baby ( I refuse to use the toddler word still). She started solid food, sat up, crawled, walked, and now she's starting to talk.
- Hayden got potty trained and turned into a little person instead of a toddler. He talks like one of us and we are so glad that he is starting to say really funny things too.
- I became a much better cook and learned how to mow a lawn. :)
- Made many Chicago trips missed having a temple so close by.
- We got to go back to visit family in Utah for Christmas.
- Started our first big garden.
- Experienced crazy storms and tornado warnings.
- We have made some really great friends.

Time just flies, doesn't it? We miss you guys already! :) I'll put pictures up on my blog as soon as Thomas fixes the computer. :)
wow they really have grown! How fun! I love your highlights. It's always interesting to look back and see how great things turn out when they are at first so unsure. :) I'm glad you are liking it out there!
Wow!! As weird as its been without you it really doesnt feel like its been a year! I cant get over how much your kids have changed in just a year by the pics though, lol guess I didnt realized theyd changed THAT much, but WOW!! :)
