So... you seemed to like my binder. I hope you read the Bloom link from my friend Rachel, because she had some really good ideas.
I am a serious list maker. It's like I can't keep track of anything if I don't write it down. So I write it down.. and put it.. somewhere? Then I find it a few days later and add a billion more things to it. It really wasn't an effective way to stay organized because I had like 20 lists of random things to remember. And my house is usually somewhat clean, but it can get to the point of disaster and then I have to clean it all at once. So that's why I decided to try the binder idea out. I love it! It can be really sad when I go to bed that night and realize I could only check off like two things, even though I was busy all day. I guess that's the nature of having small kids though. I try to remember it's just a goal, and think of all the things I was able to accomplish that weren't on the list. Today was good day. I got a bunch of things checked off, and even some from yesterday and one for tomorrow. The binder turned out to be such a good motivator for me because I want to keep up with the house so it's just a little bit every day, and I love to check things off! It's nice to feel organized. To anyone else who makes a list, I would love to see what's on it.
2 is milk. 7 is dog. 6 is positive control (histamine so they would know what a positive would look like). So she's allergic to milk and dogs. No dairy for Halle! Luckily, she seems to like the soy milk. Unluckily, we eat a lot of dairy at our house I guess. It's funny how you don't even realize it. Countless times I have messed up and put butter on her toast, or forgot to leave cheese of something. A bunch of nights this week I started dinner and realized that she couldn't eat it so I had to leave a part out without dairy or just find something else for her to eat. I can't get the girl to eat fruits and veggies. I try and try. How did that happen? It's all she ate for the first few months of solid food. I think I have a picky eater on my hands. If it's not graham crackers or breast milk, she doesn't want it. Which reminds me - I was supposed to give up dairy too. So we're weaning now. It's really not fun. And Halle spends our dinners screaming at the top of her lungs from her high chair.

Wow! She is really allergic to dogs too? Crazy. That poor gal. Those allergy tests...I hear from Jared...are itchy, itchy. Good luck with the weaning and getting everything figured out! Oh...and does she like juice? A smoothie might be a good way to get fruits and veggies in her.
Oh sad. I know all about milk allergies..both with me and with Jane. It can be very frustrating! I hope some of the comments on the Village helped.
I can understand about the dinner thing. For the first couple weeks of dealing with Lucas' milk problem, it felt like I made two dinners every night! I hope it gets easier!
Oh poor girl! Hopefully she will grow out of it... I know at least with certain allergies that kids can grow out of them as they get older. That sure stinks though. Good luck.
A good tip I heard once about to-do lists is, at night, write down things that aren't on your list that you did.
Even if I didn't vacuum today, I did get Isaac dressed (something that doesn't alway happen). or I can't check off clean the bathrooms, but dinner was on the table on time. So it can even be something you normally just do and it's not really a to-do list type thing, but it always makes me feel better to write down what I did accomplish, no matter how small.
Oh no! That's no fun, I totally understand your pain, and that's when we started weaning Hallie too. Not so fun. Allergies are such a pain.
Oh poor girl! :(
