Strangely, I really don't feel like blogging today, but my mom begged for some videos. I don't have any videos, so here are some pictures of what we have been doing in Indiana up to this point.

Here we are at the airport. I tried so hard to find a toy airplane for Hayden to get him ready for the trip. I had no idea how he would handle the plane ride or if he would get scared during take off, like I do. :) I tried to show him the airplanes and helicopters every time they went past our house, and he started saying, "aypeet" everytime he heard one. By the time the trip was over he was pretty much obsessed with planes and he still constantly says, "aypeet sky" all day long.
Waiting to board. Liza took Hayden to the window to look at the airplanes. I was so glad she came. She was such a huge help. I have no idea how I would have carried two babies, their carseats, a carry-on bag, Our huge bag of luggage to check, and our stroller around the airport. She also really helped Hayden to understand what was going on when we were on the plane. I was too concentrated on keeping myself calm, so I probably would have just made him scared. Thanks Liza!

My mom found that cute backpack for him, and sewed on a buckle across the front so we could put a leash on him in the airport. I don't care what people say about those things. People who say it's cruel to leash kids have never taken a very active toddler to the airport and worried that he would run away. Plus it meant that Hayden could carry his snacks and toys instead of me. I went to the dollar store the day before and got a bunch of toys to keep him entertained. New toys always distract for so much longer. Thanks Mom! It worked great!

Here we are finally settled on the plane. We were lucky and had a nice guy switch seats with me so we could all sit together. I planned on giving him the suckers during take off to help his ears pop. (Hayden, not the guy who switched us seats.) He whined when we had to put him in the seat so I told him I would give it to him thinking it would last until we were in the air. Nope. He ate the whole thing before we were even close.

After a very long day we finally were able to see Derrick again. Hayden was so glad. It had been 5 days. I was very glad too.

This is the first Sunday morning. Derrick called me in to Hayden's room when he was waking him up because he was so cute, sleeping with his bum in the air on the couch.

We wanted to do something fun on Liza's last day here, so we went to this little discovery park thing. They had a petting zoo.

Here he is milking this cow. Water would actually come out.
There was a tractor there that he would not get off.

I was pretty much forced to get in this petting zoo. Animals are not my thing! :) Especially that stinky llama.
A little horse thing. Sorry Megan. I know you know exactly what kind it is.. :)

And we walked around Purdue campus. Hayden found a yucky little pond and kept saying, "It's a wa-wa. I fall. Hurt. No touch eet."

Here is Halle sleeping in her crib. She looks so tiny in it!

And she had her first taste of rice cereal. I was planning on waiting until 6 mos because I don't want to let her grow up, but she kind of freaks out whenever we are eating and grabs at my food. She was definitely ready. It doesn't look like it in this picture, but she actually eats most of it instead of it just falling out of her mouth.

She fell asleep with her hand up like this, and I thought it was the sweetest thing.

The end.

Cute pictures. I'm glad you had help for the aiplane ride too. That would have been a nighmare alone!!! Oh guess what? I had to teach my first lesson for you today (haha, I guess not really for you but you know what I mean) I just have to say... teaching makes me NERVOUS!

I don't care what anyone says...a leash for a toddler is a lifesaver. Literally.

I'm glad everything went well on the plane ride. I love the pictures, especially the one where you, Derrick, and Hayden have your faces poking through so you look like lemurs. How fun!!!!

I'm so glad to see new pictures since y'all have been in IN. I know you're homesick, but you seem to be doing really well adjusting. That picture of you, Derrick, and Hayden with your heads in the holes is SO cute! I love it!

So cute! Love the pictures! Hunter always sleeps with his bum in the air too. It's so funny! Glad the plane ride went well! That would be hard with two kids. And I totally agree with the "leash" on the back pack. It's way better to make sure they are with you/you know where they are than worrying about them being 'tied up'. I'm sure they don't even realize it! Haha. ;)
