For family home evening last week we went for a walk. It was the first really nice day that we could take Hayden outside for a ride on his new bike.
He loved it! I am so excited for nice weather. Isn't he cute in his helmet and knee pads? He really thinks it's a football helmet. He puts it on when he's playing football in the house. I'm glad he likes to wear it because the last thing we need is another head injury.
He doesn't really get how to pedal it, which is fine because we just push him. I tried to show him how to do it by pushing the pedals with my hands, so now he thinks you are supposed to put your hands on it instead of your feet. Silly boy. Here was Halle the whole time in the stroller. She just stared at whoever was pushing her.
Hayden trying to do thumbs up.
He started whining when we got home and he saw our front door. We could only get him to calm down by telling him that it was time for an Easter egg hunt!
I got an idea for a Easter Egg Scripture activity from something we did when I was in primary. It must have made an impression because I still remember it. I looked it up and found all the information here: EASTER EGG THING
So I hid the eggs in the backyard for Hayden to find. This was his first Easter Egg hunt ever, so we were very surprised that he knew exactly what to do and to put the eggs in the basket. He wouldn't take off his helmet or knee pads though.
Our tub got new caulking put in the corners one day, so I had to give Halle a bath in the sink that night. Hayden had to join in on the fun.
It tickled when I poured water on his hands. He has always had ticklish palms.
He got brave and poured water on himself! I was surprised because he hates when I pour it on him.

I love that he makes the sink look so tiny! Cool idea with the easter eggs.
