ABC's by Hayden.

I'm impressed. I'm constantly amazed at how smart little kids are and how quickly they can pick up on things. So here's Hayden, even though sometimes he was too busy with his juice and didn't want to cooperate with me. I ran out of space on the memory card, so it cuts off before we are done, but he does know all of the signs for the letters. He doesn't quite have the dexterity to make them with his hands, but he tries sometimes.



Just as a side note about baby signing, I would highly recommend it! It feels like Hayden has been slow at talking (even though in my head I know he's normal) and it has helped so much. I can't understand all his words sometimes, but I always know what he's trying to say when he signs. He has even made up his own signs for some words because he likes having that way to communicate with us. It's kind of frustrating in the beginning because it takes a couple months of you signing to them until they start doing it back, but once Hayden learned the concept of a sign representing a word or idea that he wanted to tell us, he learned them so fast. He's really proud of himself now when he learns a new sign or helps us understand what he's trying to say. He even brought his little sister a picture of a fish the other day, and tried to help her sign fish by moving her hand for her. It was adorable. It has helped ease tantrums and frustrations, and it helps him learn words faster too. Hayden learned all of his by watching the signing time videos and watching us sign words. ( I learned them all from signing time too! haha.)
