First Birthday for Owen!

I have lots of stuff to catch up on, but I'm skipping ahead... to today!  It's Owen's first birthday. (well, technically yesterday, the 28th, but I haven't gone to bed yet so it still counts... right?)  His birthday party is in 2 weeks, but he got lots of birthday kisses today.

Since I haven't updated in months, here are some pictures.

MAY

JULY

This is hilarious!  His first word was HI, and so he climbs up this step stool, sees himself in the mirror, waves at his cute little self, and says the cutest ever "HI!"

uh-oh.  (He has paper radar and he consumes quite a bit before I can get it away from him.)

The last few pictures in the overalls were from today.

Some stats:

around 25 lbs. (his appointment is next week so i'm not positive.. but believe me, he's huge.)

He says 

"hi" 

"mama"

  "dada" 

 "ba" (ball) 

 "aa-ee" (Halle)

"ba-ba" (bye-bye)

He signs 

milk (aka mama milk), and he's serious about it! (even in his sleep sometimes! = adorable)

can stand on his own for a few seconds

he's slept in our room for the past year.  just last night we put his crib in his room and he slept separate from us. (for most of the night anyway.)

eats tons of paper or any little thing he finds on the floor

gets away with a lot more than my other babies, including eating weird things and wandering around dirty

loves to play with remotes and spoons the best

hates fruit

loves carbs and really loves meat

smiles really big every morning when he sees his siblings

says "Hi!" to random strangers when we walk past them... making everyone's day

Awwww!  It's hard to believe he was ever that tiny.  I loved those newborn days.   What a special time.  I love thinking back on his birth and those first few weeks after.  He's been so fun to watch grow up this year. He's such a sweet baby.
