We took the family to the dentist last week.
Of course, no little kid ever wants to sit in the big scary chair with the big scary lady sticking the things in their mouth.
It took lots of bribing (3 rocks for the jar, 2 prizes, and 2 stickers each!) and mom and dad holding hands, but he did it! I was so proud. He let them use the spinny thing to clean and everything. He even got to take the Cat in the Hat spit shield thing home. (Do you love all my technical words?)
For kids under 3 they do a "happy visit," so Halle got to sit up in the chair with him and get her teeth counted. Then the dentist looked at both of them and saw no cavities!
She really wasn't that happy about it though.
So they each went home with a squirt gun, a ball, 2 stickers, floss sticks, Thomas the Train toothpaste, and a toothbrush (Diego and Dora). Then they got 3 rocks each for the jar. No wonder they were talking about the dentist so much when we left! Now they each brush their teeth at least 5 times a day, just for fun, and carry around their flossers all day.
