What Hayden says!

I am copying the list of funny things Hayden says from the side onto a post.  It's getting long, so I want to start it over, but I want to have them in a more permanent place first.  I love this kid!  I hope he is this entertaining forever.

 

First, I just have to add these new ones from tonight:

8-12-10

Hayden: "Daddy, I don't want you to go home teaching anymore."

Derrick explained why he goes, and then said, "Maybe when you're older you can even go with me."

Hayden: "Yes, I will go with you.  When I am older, and you are old."

Hayden was watching Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer (Yes, in August. ha) and asked me, "Mommy, what sound does the reindeer make?"  I told him I didn't know and went upstairs to get something.  When I came back downstairs he told me, "Mommy, reindeers don't make any noises like other animals.  They just talk."

Hayden praying at dinner: "Please bless our food. Please bless we can get cookies later."

Hayden spilled has cup of milk at dinner.

Derrick: "Hayden, will you get down and get a rag to clean up your mess, please?"

Hayden: "No, but thanks for asking though."

While blessing our lunch: "Please bless our food. Please bless Mommy and Daddy don't get upset."

Hayden has taken to calling me the same things that Daddy does. I often get a, "Hey, Erwin!" or a, "Will you fix this, sweetheart?"

Hayden was crying after a nap today, and he told me, "It's a hard day!"

For family home evening we were talking about priesthood blessings, which he has experienced before. I showed Hayden some consecrated oil and asked him if he knew what it was for.

His answer: "It's to help your hair!"

How you know your kid watches too much Signing Time:
Hayden: I love Alex. And I love Leah. We are family!

Hayden: Watch this mommy!
I watch as he blows on his fingers.
Me: What are you doing?
Hayden: Um... Just feeling the wind.

Hayden: What's that mommy? You got an owie?
Me: Yeah, I got a scratch from the rose bush.
Hayden continues to point out his scratches and Halle's scratches.
Hayden: We all got owies! We got owies together! We are family!

Hayden's sick so I have been pushing liquids.

Me: Do you want some water?

Hayden: No, I want some alligator.

(aka: Gatorade)

The kids and I were cuddling on the couch.

Me: I just love my two kiddies!

Hayden: meow! meow!

I started straightening up the kitchen and putting dishes in the sink.

Hayden: Who's coming over, Mommy?

I swear I clean even when I'm not expecting company
