We're moving again!

Yes, again! We just bought our first home and we're so excited! We had planned on buying when we moved out this fall, but obviously we had to come out sooner and didn't have time to buy a house before we left. This past week we found a great deal on a house that is perfect for us so we made our offer. Later that night we found out that there were two other people bidding on the same house, so we had to tell them our final highest and best offer, and they would pick the best one. So we thought about it, gave them our best offer, and prayed that we would get it if it was right for us. We had to wait a whole weekend (torture!) but we found out on Monday that they picked our offer so we're under contract! We are so excited! Not only is it a great little house, but it is actually going to save us quite a bit of money every month. Our mortgage payment will be a few hundred dollars less than the rent we are paying now! Can you believe it?? Here are a few pictures.

Here's the kitchen. It's a foreclosure, so it needs a little love. We have a lot to do... We need to buy appliances, blinds, paint, a garage door opener, a stair rail, some outlet covers..(yes, they even took the stair rail and outlet covers!) Although we have a lot to do, it's in a lot better condition than quite a few of the foreclosures we have seen.

So that's our exciting news! As long as everything goes according to plan and the home inspection goes well, we should be in our house by the end of July.

I have a feeling that Home Depot is going to be our new home. We went there yesterday, and Halle was just a chewing away at her thumb when she fell asleep just like this. I know how she feels. It has never been my favorite store either (until now).
