The kids had lots of fun in the tub tonight!
I haven't really done a good update on the kids in a while, so I thought I would fill you in on what they are up to.
Halle
Before we moved we had her 4 month checkup. She is in the 90th percentile for height! She is one tall baby. She was in the 50th for weight, which I'm sure is a lot higher now. She has chunked up a lot since she had RSV. We were worried then because she actually lost weight, but it's not a problem anymore! She just started solid foods, and she has had squash and rice cereal so far. She doesn't love the taste of the squash, but I think she likes having a different texture in her mouth because she licks it off the spoon like a little puppy anyway. She is starting to laugh a lot more and she loves to stare at her brother. She's so sweet and content, such an easy baby. She's usually smiley and just a cutie! She still spits up a ton, which can be frustrating, but at least she's happy. The funny thing is that she screams a lot. Not horrible screaming like you can't figure out what's wrong. She's not crying or anything, but if she wants something she just screams really high pitched to get your attention. I'm sure my dad thinks this is payback, because I'm the reason he has a hard time hearing. :) I say it's because he tickled me so much. I tried to get this on video but she's so fascinated with the camera that she stops screaming just stares at it, and opens her mouth like she wants to eat it.
Hayden
Hayden had his 2 year checkup the same day as Halle's 4 month. He was 50th percentile for his weight, and 75th for his height. He is talking so much now! It seems like he is never quiet unless we are around strangers. He talks pretty much all day about whatever he sees. He says a few simple sentences like, "It's Hayden's fork!" and, "I want some juice. " and, "That's Greg's truck." He soaks up everything like a little sponge and the things he says sometimes make us laugh so hard. We always wonder where he learned it. He sings (really loud) a lot too. He learned the monkeys jumping on the bed, and the clean up song in nursery, so he sings them whenever he gets a chance. He is FINALLY (knock on wood) going to sleep really easily at night, and sleeping until about 7 when Derrick gets up with him. He also takes naps again, which makes for a much happier boy! He has been potty training this week, so we have been watching a lot of Elmo's potty time video and eating lots of treats. He's doing really well (I think) but still has a few accidents a day. I know he's ready, because he does get it. He usually comes to tell us when he has to go, he knows when he's had an accident and he cries, and he tells us afterward that you have to go in the potty and not in your underwear.... so why does he still have accidents? I guess it's only been a week, but I just have no idea when it will come easier and when the accidents will stop. Derrick has been able to work from home this week, so I'm sure the success we have had so far has to do with having both of us to help each other so no one gets worn out or impatient.
He loves playing in our backyard with our neighbor boy Gary. Gary is cute and wants a brother, so he loves to act like Hayden's big brother. It is really cute so see them play. Gary pushes Hayden around in his little car outside and plays baseball with him. Once I went outside and say Gary putting Hayden's shoes back on him because one fell off. Cute huh? I can't wait for Hayden to have a brother.. (OK I CAN WAIT!!!) The neighbors have this little bench and Hayden loves to sit on it. It makes me kind of sad though... It looks kinda lonely. Besides Gary he doesn't have any friends here yet. He (and I!!) really misses Claire and Maddie.

I love those pictures that Ashley took of Hayden and Halle. Your kids are soooo cute. I can't believe that Halle is chubbing up a bit! What a sweetheart. And tall too.... Linus can't get above the 15th percentile for height - what a shorty.
We miss you guys too.
About the baby food - I totally think we should put it on "the Village" you can put it on your blog too - either way. But, I think it would be something fun and different - you know a "tutorial" Do you want to write it up and send the pitures to me? I can get it up in the next few days to a week (depending on what you want to do). Let me know what you think.
I MISS YOU GUYS!!!! Seeing those videos of your kids makes me really miss them. I can't believe how much bigger Halle looks!!!! I can't wait for you to post more pics that Ashley took because the ones you have up here are so cute. Glad to hear that you're adjusting out there and that things are going well.
Your family pictures are so so cute!!
Wow, Halle's percentiles are crazy! Thats cute she's going to be so tall...lol Addie is so short! :)
Hayden is the firts little kid who ive felt like Ive actually kind of 'watched' him grow up (when I moved here he didnt walk and etc) and so its always fun to see him and the new things he's doing! I love that he's talking so much and has a little friend :) His 'lonely bench' picture is cute.
The bath video is hilarious!! I love how hard Halle is laughing!
And I know how you feel. Im not very good at being social and making friends... we've lived here over a year, and I STILL dont really have anyone. The few people we have been able to start to get to know have moved away or are moving soon. ...and all my old friends (from school and etc) are busy and far away, so i get lonely too. Im trying to be better, and decided recently that we're going to try to stay home more often on weekends and Im going to force myself to get out of house and to attempt to talk to people. lol...so my fingers are crossed for both of us! :)
Ok so I just have to say that picture of Hayden sitting on the bench looks like he is sitting as far to the side so his friends Claire and Maddie can come sit by him and then he looks like he is wondering where they are... But I like your post. There are lots of fun pictures. We like pictures.
