Sad Day.

Last night I was looking through Derrick's phone pictures and I saw a picture of Hayden at Lee's. They have little shopping carts and Hayden was pushing it around. I didn't get to see it last time so I wanted to go again so I could see him. (plus we actually did need a few groceries...)

Isn't he adorable with his little bear?

So Derrick and Hayden went to the deli while I was in another aisle. I went to look for them and I found them because I heard Hayden crying across the store. When I saw Derrick, he was holding Hayden who was crying pretty hard and I asked what happened. Derrick looked kind of upset like it was a pretty bad. Hayden had tripped over his feet and fell and hit his head. When Derrick picked him up his eyes rolled to the side and his arms twitched. He said it looked like he got knocked out and had a little seizure. It really just happened in a split second and then he started crying like normal, but it was so scary for Derrick to see. He even had beads of sweat on his head. We decided to take him to InstaCare to get him checked out. On the car ride over (about 5 minutes) Hayden fell asleep and was really hard to wake up. It made me so nervous! He wasn't acting like himself. Usually when he gets hurt he will keep talking about it and tell you over and over that he fell and his head hurt, but he didn't really say anything. Luckily we didn't have to wait very long at the InstaCare. Because he is so little they took him right in. The doctor checked him out and said that everything looked good. His eyes and ears were ok, and he was responding really well. He started to talk more and he was looking around and understanding what was going on. His twitching-seizure like thing was probably because he was in shock from the pain. She said to wake him up in the middle of the night and just make sure he still looked good, but he is ok. What a relief to hear! So he will be sleeping in our bed tonight because I know I wouldn't be able to sleep if I didn't know that he was ok in his room. It's such an intense fear when you know that something is wrong with your own child. A different kind of concern than I have felt for anyone. I love that little boy!

Ok, on to some happier things!

Hayden wearing mommy's shoes and talking on the phone. Little mimicker.

Our little monkey.

He's pretty strong! He hung there for quite a while! So funny.

Halle smiles A TON in the mornings. I love it! She's so cute.

I was trying to open this bucket of flour one day, but I was having a hard time. Hayden came to help me.

Basketball is still an obesession.

What better toy than a box? He has had fun with this tupperware container since I have been rearranging some storage stuff. I brought it down so he could watch his football in it and he fell asleep. So funny!

Halle looks so cute when she is content, which is often. She is such a good baby, and is only waking up once during the night. Her umbilical granuloma is being really stubborn though, and we have had it burned off THREE times, and I will have to take her in again because there is still a little piece after it fell off today. Her rash was from hard water, and we solved it by adding 1/4 cup vinegar to the rinse cycle when we do laundry. (and no it doesn't make our laundry stink.) Easy fix, and I can still drink milk!

Oh my gosh! That is super scary! I'm glad Hayden is okay though, he is such a cutie. I love that picture of him with the shopping cart, it's to die for. I'm glad Halle doesn't have an allergy cause I can tell ya that is no fun! I may have to try that vinegar trick, we all get little rashes sometimes from our clothes. Our Hallie had a small umbilical granuloma, but also had an umbilical hernia. Definitely not anything too serious, but no exactly fun either. :) I can't believe how big Halle is getting, she is a doll! I love that big smile.

How scary! I am SO glad that he is okay. What a tough kid. I think it is so cute that he loves sports already - just like his dad....and wow he is strong. He is a monkey.

Hey...for those flour buckets, I finally bought one of those bucket opener tools (I don't know what it is really called). If you don't have one you can borrow ours. That and a mallet make using those buckets WAY easier. Before that I used the same method Hayden was using. :)

We have bad hard water too. It makes our dishes so spotty if we don't towel dry them right from the dishwasher. I am so glad you don't have to change your diet. Phew!

Oh that sounds so scary! I'm so glad he is ok! And I can't believe that Halle only wakes up once in the middle of the night! Did you read Baby Wise? Everyone is telling me to do that when I have my wee-one...what did you do?

Yeah on drinking milk! I think Hunter is over his milk thing now. I've slowly been adding more dairy to my diet, and even drink milk again and he seems fine! Glad it was such a simple fix!

I just got all caught up on your blog! You have such an adventurous life! Sorry it's not all the kind of adventure you would want! But you are such a good mom and such a good person! I'm glad that I know you! :D I'm glad that things are turning out better with moving! Isn't it so great to be a member of the church! It really does bless our lives in more ways than we realize! I didn't know you were so nervous about it at first, and am glad that you are excited now! I know I'm always grateful that the Lord can change our hearts and take away our worries/fears! I know he will take good care of you!

I also hope that this is the end of all the sicknesses with your kids! They really are so cute! Hayden is just adorable! I love his pictures! ...they make me so excited for when Hunter gets to be that age! Kids are so much fun!

Congrats to Derrick too! That is really exciting for him to get so many responses back from such great schools! I really liked the quote from President Hinckley too! Thanks for sharing! It's nice to know that the leaders of the church realize that we do have to live in the world and be successful in other areas besides church. It's nice to get their support and encouragement! :)

Sorry this is such a long comment! I wish you all the best as everything unfolds! :)
