SNOW!!

It finally snowed! A lot!! I hate snow, but I have to admit I was missing it this year. I can't believe it took so long to get a good snow. It just doesn't feel like the Christmas season without it. Plus snow = happy husband, and that's always a good thing. Hayden wanted to play in the snow too, and we luckily had found a really good deal on some snow clothes a couple months ago. He was so cute in them! He definitely enjoyed it more this year than last year, and he didn't want to come inside.
Luckily when he fell down, daddy was right there to pick him up.

AND FINALS ARE OVER!! WAHOO!! Derrick did great I'm sure. He came home from his last final and got to work, too. The house is now clean and Hayden is in heaven having his daddy home. Unfortunately, yesterday was filled with the unexpected task of fixing the car. It has been not starting right up lately, and you had to try to start it a couple times before it would go. I am so proud of Derrick though, because he figured out what it was (with the help of his dad - thanks Norman!) and he bought a new starter and installed it himself. Install?? Is that the right word? It sounds like a computer word, but whatever he did, he did it himself. He is always surprising me with the things he can do. I cannot tell you how excited I am that I get to spend every day all day with him. Since he is a tutor and school is out, he is all mine until he has to go back to school. I love it! He is the one person I can spend days with and not get sick of.

I had a doctor's appointment last Thursday too. 37 weeks. There wasn't a lot of progress. I am now 1.5 cm and still 80 %. I now have permission from Derrick, my mom, and the doctor for the baby to come, so I am ready. I have been having contractions since Friday morning and I am really sick of it. :) They are just wimpy annoying ones and sometimes they are regular and sometimes not. The closest they have been together is 7 minutes. This time is so much different than with Hayden, because I never really had any signs I was going into labor with him. I wasn't anticipating it all the time and wondering when he would come like I am this time. So I guess I said she would be here early, but don't hold me to it since I have now realized I have no control over it.

So here is a funny story about my contractions... They started early on Friday morning after Hayden woke up. He woke up at 6 crying so I took him downstairs and laid with him on the couch and he fell asleep. As I was laying there next to him I kept having contractions. Every time I had one Hayden would cry in his sleep. I can't figure out why he would do this.. Maybe it's just coincidence, or do you think he knew I was in pain? I swear I wasn't squeezing him every time or anything.

That is weird that Hayden would cry during your contractions. Weird...and kind of cool.

We saw Derrick and Hayden outside playing through our front window. They were so cute!

We'll pray for you! Waiting for a baby is so anxiety ridden, yet exciting, yet frustrating!

Hehe - that contraction story is fun!! Those pictures of Hayden are super cute. My starter died this summer and Richard installed a new one too (really weird that you had the exact same problem).

I have to agree with Tannie, Your contraction story is fun. I am so glad that Derrick gets to be there with you now, the timing couldn't have been better I'm sure. Just so you know I was totally serious about you calling me when you are in labor so that we can take Hayden. Even if it is the middle of the night. Also remember I am here for you whenever you need anything. I love you girl! We hope that Halle will get here soon too.
