Everyone has been posting about their Thanksgiving weekends. When I looked to see what pictures we had on our camera of our weekend, this is what I found.
It's a bolt. I'm not sure exactly why.. but I know it was for Derrick's homework. I guess that was a pretty good depiction of our holiday weekend (for Derrick at least). So anyway, we had a really good weekend but that's all the pictures we took. We visited both of my parents on Thanksgiving, and on Friday went to Derrick's family until Sunday. We attended our first Christmas party of the season on Saturday! I think it was partly our fault that it was so early, because we told everyone after Thanksgiving break we were not traveling again at all. (p.s. why is it that whenever we go anywhere, our family gets sick? So annoying...) It was a really nice relaxing weekend. I love when family entertains Hayden all day. He was so good this time. Thanks family! I appreciate you playing with Hayden outside when he demanded to go out until his fingers fell off from the cold. It was good to see all of you and eat your yummy food too.
I am 36 weeks now, and I officially only have one pair of pants that will fit me (unless you include all the pajamas that I lived in pretty much my entire pregnancy). So if you see me wearing the same pants until the end of my pregnancy, that is why. I am past the point of caring these days. It's lucky when I get outside at all. I am to the point I just want to hibernate inside my house until she comes. Apparently the trend in my pregnancies has been that I don't gain very much weight until after 30-ish weeks, and then I explode. Both times my doctor has made comments about how much my weight jumped around that time, and both times my face got really fat and my feet started swelling. I don't know why it's bugging me so much because I know I'm pregnant and it's a good thing, but I hate walking around feeling like a cow all the time.
I had my 36 week appointment yesterday and I'm 1 cm and 80 % effaced! Woohoo! That's quite the change in effacement. Last appointment I was ZERO all around. With Hayden at my 36 week appointment I was 60 % and he was born a few days later. Hopefully she will stay in until finals are over, and then come out! If she is ready of course! I don't want any problems but I want to be able to breathe again. And walk. Have I told you I have SPD? (self diagnosed, but still...) Basically, the pubic symphysis is the cartilage in the front of your pelvic bone. During pregnancy hormones soften the cartilage to make your pelvis able to stretch so the baby's head can go through easier. In some people (me) it softens too much and it FREAKIN HURTS! When I roll over at night it pops, which kills. I can't really walk in the morning or at night without limping and looking like an old lady. Everything is just misaligned and too loose. The doctor said there really isn't anything I can do for it except take tylenol and wear a back brace. It should go away when she is born. I had it with Hayden too, but not as bad. OK enough whining from me.
I took some videos last night. This is the one you get because it's small and I don't have to compress it. We never really did any boy-encouraging, but Hayden is a total little boy. He loves dogs, balls, and cars. It's so fun to watch them get new interests. Here he is playing basketball with his daddy last night. I love how he crouches and gets ready to throw. What a cute kid.

What a cutie! He is getting so big!! Sorry your all uncomfortable and not enjoying this last bit, I don't blame you, and am not looking forward to those last couple of weeks! Good luck, and hopefully this little girl comes soon, for your sake!
Hayden is such a cute kid! And Halle is almost here, that is so exciting!...thank you for sharing that scripture with me, I totally love it!
Sorry you are feeling so miserable. But take it from me. . . (you already know this too), term babies tend to have less problems than early babies. Hayden was 4 weeks early and had acid reflux and was ornery, and Linus was about 4 weeks early and has tummy problems and is ornery. You might want to keep her in there for a while longer to perserve your sanity. I know what you mean about weight. It drives me crazy in my pregnancies, even though it shoudln't.
We ALWAYS get sick when we visit family too. Then we give it to my Mother who has a horrible immune system and our cold turns into pnemonia or bronchitis in her.
I am sorry to hear that you are feeling so yucky! Please let us know if we can help you in any way. That SPD sounds like a party.
Hayden is so fun. It seems like he is growing up fast.
We did homework all Thanksgiving too. I say we because it stinks waiting him for him to do it almost as much as it would be doing it. That is what I think anyway. Jared may not agree.
Jump Hayden....haha I love it. 36 weeks?!!! holy cow! You are cruising right along! I can't wait to meet baby Halle. Hope your pubic symphysis pain calms down for ya, that does not soud like fun at all. Good luck, you're in the home stretch now!! make it to 38 weeks okay?!
