She is here! She was born at 10:20 am on Dec. 30. She weighed 7 lb 5 oz and was 21" long. I was supposed to call the hospital between 6 and 6:30 am to see when I was supposed to go in for my induction, but instead, we were on our way to the hospital because I was definitely in labor. I almost didn't make it in time for my epidural! Contractions had started at 3 am. Kinda funny how things work out like that. And I was worried I would have to wait all day! My labor went pretty fast! I was glad.
Proud Daddy! He is so cute with her and calls her things like "sweetheart" and "princess." I love watching him with babies!
Hayden was not that impressed. I think he was just overwhelmed with all the people watching him the first time he met her. He did give her hugs, which just means that he bends over and lays his head on her tummy, but wouldn't give kisses. At least he didn't hate her. He has since warmed up and tried to share his teddy bear with her today.
She is so beautiful! And such a good baby. I can already tell that she is a lot more calm than newborn Hayden was. Or maybe it's just me that's more calm this time. :) We came home today and are just trying to get settled in. I will post the rest of the birth story later. I just wanted to make sure everyone could see pictures of her. I am going to go take a nap now. :)
