Well I really didn't take very many pictures of Christmas day I guess. We took a lot of video though. Here is Hayden after we brought him downstairs. I love this picture. It's a pretty good depiction of how he felt. He loved it. It was so fun for Derrick and I to watch. This is a truck that carries a bunch of little cars on it.
His big gift was a basketball hoop that is just his size, which I don't have any pictures of but I will find a video... He also got lots of books and a stuffed animal. Halle got an ear thermometer . :)
Derrick got a Timex Ironman watch and I made him a Snapfish book of the story of our first few years together. He also got a shaving kit thingy but he says he likes his system so he's taking it back. Derrick's dad has always had a huge stocking, way bigger than anyone else's because well... he's the dad! So Derrick always said he needed one that big too, but I would tell him no way and it wouldn't match the stockings I made a few years ago. Well we found a huge one at Walmart so I bought it but didn't put it up. I stuffed the huge one for him on Christmas day though. It was fun, but hard to put that much stuff in it.
When we started opening presents my first gift was Vital Wheat Gluten...
I thought that was pretty strange, but I had an idea of what was going on after I opened some flour, yeast, and bread pans. I got a KitchenAid mixer!I was pretty shocked because we agreed on a budget for Christmas gifts, and he went way over.. He got a good deal but still... He says it's an investment. I am so excited about it. It was one of those things on the list of "well maybe we can afford it in five years." But I guess Derrick was just itching for me to make homemade bread (plus he just loves to spoil me). It's a red one... and it doesn't fit under my cupboards on the counter so it has no home yet hehe. Unfortunately my first batch of bread did not really turn out because I put too much dough in the pans and so the insides didn't get a chance to cook. The outsides tasted good though! After we opened presents I made breakfast of biscuts and gravy and then let Hayden play with the toys. We tried to take a nap but he was too noisy. It was just a fun relaxing day!
My mom and step-dad came up on Saturday, and I was so glad! I loved our little family's holiday, but I really did miss my family too. I can't wait to see the rest of them. You guys can come visit anytime!!!
My mom had lots of fun spoiling Hayden again too.Look at this cute toy he got. It's a vacuum! I think it might be my favorite toy he got. I am definitely ok with anything that teaches him how to clean. :) He also got a Rody, which is some sort of animal looking rubber guy that he loves to bounce on, but I didn't get a picture of it ... His other grandparents gave him a tractor that makes animal noises when you put the little animals on it. He loves it, and keeps trying to ride it! I guess it's good that he likes that stuff now, since I bet he will spend some summers doing tractor work on the farm.
Thanks to everyone! We love you all. I will put some videos up of Hayden soon.
P.S. I'm getting induced on Tuesday! I can't wait for her to get here!

I'm jealous of your mixer.
Oh wow you have a cute kid. Looks like you had lots of fun. Thanks for the helicopter! It's loads of fun. Isaac loves to watch me fly it around. Ethan wants to play with it all the time too. Have fun tomorrow and enjoy the special occasion! I'm excited for you and the new baby. Take lots of pics. Let us know if you need anything.
CUTE pictures of Hayden!! I like the truck video too. It sounds like you had excellent time. Congrats on the Kitchenaid!! That will be so fun. I guess I'm just old school, but I make homemade bread without a Kitchenaid or Bosch I just knead the dough myself. :) I like to do it that way, although it does take longer. Claire has that vacuum too! I love it also because like you said, she will help "clean up." Good luck with Halle today - you may not even read this comment until you are out of the hospital.
What a fun Christmas. I am so excited for Halle to get here too! Let us know!
Awesome!! I can't wait to see your little girl!
