So I think maybe those plaster handprint kits are just not a good idea. Here is what happened the second time I tried it. I did one foot and one hand, and on the way to the bathroom to wash him off I held his foot so he wouldn't kick me and get plaster all over me. Well, in the two steps it took to get to the bathroom here is what happened!
He stuck his hand in his mouth! Yes, give me the bad mother of the year award. My baby ate plaster.
Doesn't he look innocent? And no, I did not get really worried about my baby eating plaster and hurry to wash him off. Yes, I did fun around looking frantically for the camera. Don't worry though. I don't think he actually got very much of it in his mouth. And what he did eat he spit up on me about 10 minutes later.
For those that missed it, here is what happened in Plaster Handprint Kit: Part 1Yes, somehow we dropped his face in it. I was laughing so hard that most of the pictures are blurry. I think he was a month or two old then.
None of our kits turned out. We waited too long on the first one and it was pretty solid when we tried. This time, he just wanted to play in the plaster so it just has claw marks. Oh well, at least we got some funny pictures. I guess I should go finish cleaning the plaster off the table.

He looks like he has been putting up drywall. Such an industrious baby!
No, not the 'bad mother of the year' but probably coolest or something like that. The pictures are adorable though, so the memories are just as good.
you seem like such a capable mother, Erin! I love that your first reaction was laughter. He is SUCH a cute baby!
P.S. I tagged you. Check out my blog for the instructions 'n' such.
